More beach inspiration

Day two at Eastbourne, this time on the fishermen's beach for rich pickings of the rusty type.

If you're wondering what we're up to it's a course with Alice Fox at Studio 11, about collecting all sorts of interesting finds and detritus from a daily walk (in this case on a beach, but could be anywhere) . . .

and crucially (and here's the bit I'm not so good at) using those finds as the basis of art and exploration of potential - today we've been rust printing

and mono-printing from our found objects

embossing, sketching and writing on location and in the studio.

So great to have four days dedicated just to doing the work!
